How much does an Igloo cost?

Because every Igloo is made to order and can may include additional wall panels and furniture then there is no set price, but for a basic Igloo (8 wall panels, without furniture) prices start from AUD $22,560 (current as of Dec. 2014).

What colours are they?

You can choose from a wide range of colours, both inside and outside. Contact us for further details.

What furniture fits in an igloo?

You can download our brochure to see the range of fibreglass accessories available, or you can fit out an Igloo yourself.

What's in the toolbox?

Every Igloo comes complete with basic assembly tools, nuts, bolts, screws, washers, sealant and sealant gun, plus assembly instructions.

Where are igloos made?

All units are made in Tasmania, Australia, and exported all over the world.

How are they transported?

Unassembled Igloos in crates or on pallets can be carried by truck, trailer, ship or plane. Assembled Igloos can be flown by helicopter. Each panel can be carried by one person.

How long does it take to put a basic Igloo together?

Once the assembly instructions have been read, it takes two or three people less than an hour to assemble an Igloo. Extended Igloos will take longer.

Can I choose how many plain, window or door panels I want in a basic Igloo?

Yes.

Can I buy a basic Igloo now and buy extension panels later, or replace any damaged panels?

Yes.

How big are Igloos and how much do they weigh?

The basic Igloo Satellite Cabin is 3 metres in diameter and 2.1 metres tall and weighs 245Kg. Please check the Igloo features & specifications page for more information.

How long does it take to make an Igloo?

Basic igloos take about four weeks to manufacture and fit out, while extended Igloos take about six weeks, depending on the length required. Single orders are ready for despatch within 4-6 weeks, depending on the accessories or furniture ordered at the same time. Larger orders can take up to twelve weeks to complete.

How long does it take to delivery an order?

Igloos exported out of Australia can take two to three months to ship to destinations in Europe, Asia or the Americas, depending on shipping routes. Air freight is much faster but more expensive. Deliveries in Australia take a shorter time depending on the destination.
